I'm having some fun looking at old wives tales to guess at Baby Clough's gender. Here are a few I've experienced and what gender they indicate.
1. Insatiable hungry entering the second trimester points to a boy, but since I am still pretty naseous, this old wives tale says we're having a GIRL.
2. If the heartbeat is above 140/bpm it is a GIRL. Another girl point for Chris.
3. The Mayans determined the sex of the baby by taking the mother's age at conception, and the year of conception. If both are even or both are odd...it's a girl. If one is even and one odd...it's a boy. I was 23 and in 2010. POINT FOR A BOY.
4. Go by your parents history. What did your mother have? What position are you in the children. . . 1, 2, 3rd. If you are the first born, you will have what your mother had but starting with the second, then third, then first. I was first born and my mother's second child was a BOY!
5. When a woman is pregnant with a girl she will be crabby (to put it nicely) because all women are crabs and if you have one inside you are twice so. If you are pregnant with a boy you are happy and smiling. I'm not sure about this one, depends on the day! Maybe I should ask Chris...
6. According to the Ancient Chinese Gender Chart which takes in to consideration my age and month of conception, we are having a GIRL!
7. Horrible acne since becoming pregnant? YES! It is a GIRL!
8. Vivid dreams about your baby's sex? Maternal instinct is always most accurate! POINT FOR BOY!
9. Wedding Band Test...GIRL!
10. If you crave meats or cheeses, you'll have a BOY!
11. If you have morning sickness early in pregnancy, it's sure to be a GIRL!
12. If your left breast is larger, it will be a GIRL!
I'm sure there is more...I will update it as I hear more!
